Cochise forward makes the call

Alex White, 6-foot-6 (215) from Cochise Community College, took no time after taking his second official visit in the last three weeks to make a decision for next season.

White will be heading to Drake University next season in the Missouri Valley Conference.

"Alex really liked the family atmosphere and really felt comfortable with the Drake staff," said assistant coach Jeff Caha. "The undersized post player can score it on the block and can guard all 5 positions on the floor."

Alex took a official visit a few weeks back to UNC-Greensboro. White averaged 11.4 ppg and 8.9 rebounds this season while shooting 58% (160-275) from the floor. Alex scored 619 career points and grabbed 487 rebounds over his 62 career games at Cochise. The Apaches were (20-12) this past season and finished 3rd in conference play.
