Colorado forward makes his choice

Two seasons ago, Brandon Johnson gave Division One basketball a shot as a walk-on at Boise State. Next year, he will make his return as a scholarship player. Johnson, a sophomore at Lamar (CO) Community College, has verbally committed to play at Long Beach State.
The 6-foot-8 Johnson, from Camas, WA, visited Long Beach over Labor Day weekend. He was also being recruited by Liberty, Northern Arizona, Portland State, Montana and Montana State for his shooting ability.

"Brandon is a phenomenal shooter," said head coach Chris Tifft. "He makes baskets from everywhere."
Johnson shot 41% from three poi range last year while averaging 11 points per game.
