Commodore Player Has Change of Heart

Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL has a lot of roster space available for next season. The Commodores now have seven players moving onto the division one ranks next fall. Head Coach Jay Powell gave JucoJunction.com a update on one of his current players and also who the Commodores have added for next season.
"Travis Nichols has signed with St Francis College in Brooklyn,NY" said Powell. Nichols had committed back in the fall to Troy University but had a change of heart.

Nichols a native of New York City will head home to the Big Apple and have three years to play for St Francis College. He averaged 5.6 ppg and 3.6 rebounds this season for the Commodores who play in the rugged Panhandle Conference.
The Commodores have added a new player to the mix for next season in Karron Johnson. Johnson 6-foot-8 forward from Richmond,VA played this past year at Moberly Area College in Missouri. Johnson averaged 21.6 ppg and 8 rebounds while shooting 54% (231-427) from the floor for the Greyhounds. Johnson was also named Missouri Region Player of the Year as a freshman this past season. Johnson is currently in summer school according to coach Powell.
