Commodores Player Makes a Move

Gulf Coast Community Collge has to replace the whole starting lineup from last season. JucoJunction.com found out today from Commodores Head coach Jay Powell that they will be one short now in this seasons recruiting class.
Karron Johnson will not be part of the program at Gulf Coast Community College this season according to Powell. "We wish Karron all the best" said Powell. Johnson 6-foot-8 played at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri last season. Johnson averaged 21.6 ppg and 8 rebounds last season while shooting 54% (231-427) from the floor. Johnson a power forward was named Missouri Region Player of the Year.

Johnson originally from Richmond, VA played at Mount Zion Christian Academy (NC), Patterson School (NC) and Laurinburg Institute (NC) while in high school. Karron signed with Oklahoma State University out of Laurinburg Institute but failed to qualify academically for the Cowboys. Johnson ran on the aau circuit with Richmond Squires.
