Commodores stumble
The Commodores played two teams from Region 10 in Spartanburg Methodist College and USC Salkehatchie at the Salk Challenge this past weekend. Opening night the Commodores defeated Spartanburg Methodist College 73-65 and lost on Saturday 76-73 to the host Indians.
JucoJunction took in the action on Saturday from the event. The Commodores were led in scoring by sophomore Anton Waters with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Freshman Davaris McGowens chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds in the defeats.

McGowens prepped last year and had signed with the University of Southern Mississippi but ended up in junior college after he failed to qualify academically.
Waters visited the University of Arkansas Little Rock back in late October according to Assistant Brendan Walker.
JucoJunction will see the Commodores again next month at the Florida Shootout in Ocala.
