Cougars guard decides

The start of second semester in the junior college ranks is starting this week with many schools now back in session.

Lawson State Community College Head coach Phillip Shumpert contacted JucoJunction today about his point guard Worrell Clahar. "Worrell has committed to Texas Southern University for next season," said Shumpert.
Clahar a two year starter for the Cougars prepped at Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in Lagrange, G.A. before enrolling at Lawson State Community College. Clahar who is from Covington, G.A., spent sometime in New York City growing up.
"Worrell is a very strong pesky player who brings a great competitive edge to the floor everytime he plays," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Clahar is currently 12.3 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists per game this season for the 10-4 Tigers.
