Cougars look to make strides

Highland Community College played this past weekend at the Graphic Edge JUCO Jam on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.
The Cougars are led by second year head coach Tone Boyle. Boyle has a vastly improved squad.

The Cougars added some key transfers to the roster this season. Jaylen Robertson and Maurice McDonald should get some major minutes this season.
Robertson, a point guard from Clinton, NC native played last season at Hutchinson Community
College (KS).
McDonald comes to Freeport, IL after spending the past few seasons at the University of Texas Pan American. McDonald red-shirted one season after prepping at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.
Jameal Robinson returns to the Cougars roster after playing a good amount of minutes last season.
Robinson averaged 9.9 ppg and 5.4 rebounds last season. Robinson, a shooting guard, hails from Greer, SC.
Center Hector Dominguez returns to the Cougars. Dominguez, a center from Spain, returns after losing close to 50 pounds this off season.
Look for the Cougars to make some noise in Region 4 (Northern Illinois) this season.
