"Tarvin Gaines has signed with Jacksonville State University for next fall," said Lawson State Community College Head Coach Phillip Shumpert.

The left-handed power forward averaged 14.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this past season for the Cougars. Gaines shot 54.6 percent (146-267) from the floor.
Gaines now joins teammates Taaj Ridley (Iona) and Worrell Clahar (Texas Southern)in finding a school for this fall. Gaines is ranked No. 75 in the 2011 JucoJunction Top 150.
