D-I Programs in Hot Pursuit of L.A. City Trio

Three available sophomores from Los Angeles City College in California are being pursued by a number of Division I programs this spring.
Despite being erroneously reported by various websites as a Washington State commitment this past winter, 6-6, 225 power forward Tyrone Riley has knocked his list down to three colleges.

L.A. City Head Coach Mike Miller told JUCO Junction that Riley visited San Diego from Apr. 11-13. Over the next two weekends, Riley will visit San Francisco (Apr. 18-20) and Portland State (Apr. 25-27) before coming to a decision.
Jerel Blasingame, a high scoring 5-10, 185 pound point guard from Brooklyn, N.Y., is planning on visiting both Baylor and San Francisco, Miller said. While no date has been set for Baylor, Blasingame is set to visit USF this weekend (Apr. 18-20).
Clemson, Arizona and Gonzaga have all inquired about Blasingame in recent weeks, but Miller said it's unclear whether or not those programs will become serious factors in Jerel's recruitment.
Lastly, 6-7, 180 pound swingman Romel Beck is in the midst of back to back official visits.
The Etiwanda, Calif., native visited Wyoming last weekend (Apr. 11-13) and will visit UNLV this upcoming weekend (Apr. 18-20). Both Mountain West programs have offered Beck scholarships, Miller said.
In addition to that pair, Miller said he has also fielded interest from schools such as Alabama and Fresno State this spring.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on all of the Cub players this spring as the signing period progresses, so stay tuned!
