D2 tournament action from Danville
The day started with the defending National Champions Phoenix College Bears defeating Southeast Community College (NE) 81-51.
The Bears were led in scoring by Arizona Player of the Year Brandon Brown with 27 points. Brown currently has 1518 career points at Phoenix College. Brown, a point guard, has received plenty of suitors this season according to Head Coach Matt Gordon.

Travis Meeker added 11 points in the victory.
The Bears improved to 28-5 on the season and advance to the quarterfinals tomorrow.
The Southeast Community College Storm were led by Josh Stroud with 12 points and freshman academic qualifier Snyder Cenecharles with 11 points.
The Storm drop to 12-19 on the season and will now play in the consolation bracket.
