Danville on my mind

Buried in the Northeast corner of the state in Kansas is the little town of Highland Community College. Scotties head coach Jerre Cole has his squad playing this past weekend on the campus of Central Missouri State University at Rick Ball's JUCO Jamboree and JucoJunction was there for the action.
The Scotties are looking to return to the NJCAA National D2 Tourney this coming March in Danville, Ill. The Scotties were shorthanded today without Deandre Upchurch not making the trip with the team to Central Missouri State University.

Antonio Walker and Phil Henry picked up the slack for the Scotties. Walker a post player from Dublin, Ga. has made some previous stops before landing at Highland Community College.
Walker averaged 8.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season while shooting 50 percent (118-234) from the floor. "Antonio is a very long and agile post player who can really alter shots on the defensive end of the floor," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Henry hails from Marlton, N.J. after playing his high school basketball at Cherokee High School. The power forward averaged 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game last season while shooting 54 percent (71-132) from the floor. "Phil has improved on his game from a year ago and look for him to be a bigger factor this season for the Scotties," said Swanson.
