Davis will be a Hawkeye

Jermain Davis won't have to travel far next season to play his college ball after Kirkwood Community College. Davis took an unofficial visit this past weekend to the University of Iowa campus and walked away liking what he saw. The Kirkwood campus is only 20 minutes away from Iowa City.
Davis, a (SO) 6-foot-4 wing player from Plymouth, MN, played his freshman season at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, IA. Davis had previously visited Utah State and also received some interest from Central Florida University.

"I am pleased for all parties," said Kirkwood Community College head coach Doug Wagemester. "I think it's a win-win all the way around."
"What I saw was a real genuine attitude from the coaches and that they were really sincere," Davis told HawkeyeReport.com. "Right after I got to Iowa City, I met with Coach Lickliter and he told me what I could do in their system and what I could bring to the program."
