DeGroat Commits to Pitt
John DeGroat, the smooth 6-6, 215 pound small forward/swingman from Northeastern J.C. in Sterling, Colo., has committed to Pittsburgh.
JUCO Junction has confirmed DeGroat's commitment with several sources familiar with the situation.

DeGroat is a solid pick-up for the Panthers. He's an excellent perimeter jump shooter who is a master of the midrange game.
DeGroat took official visits to Pitt, Gonzaga and Oklahoma this fall before casting his lot with the Panthers. St. John's was the fourth program involved with DeGroat, but he declined to visit the Red Storm program.
