Delta Devils sign a trio

Head Coach Sean Woods at Mississippi Valley State has been very busy bringing in a new recruiting class for next season. The Delta Devils found their way into the junior college ranks and pulled out some signings from various regions this season. JucoJunction has the latest on these signings in this article.
Cochise College teammates Mike Mayo and Jason Holmes will be heading to SWAC Conference next season to play at Mississippi Valley State University according to Apaches head coach Jerry Carillo. Mayo, a shooting guard, averaged 17.5 ppg this season while shooting 39.5% (134-339) from three-point range this past season for the Apaches. Mayo hails from Los Angeles, CA. Holmes, just a freshman, averaged 8.2 ppg and 5.6 rebounds this past year. Holmes will have three years to play at the Division One level after being an academic qualifier coming out of high school in Chicago.
D'Angelo Jackson from the University Arkansas-Fort Smith will be teammates with the Cochise College duo next season. Jackson, from Milwaukee, WI, averaged 5.6 ppg this season for the Lions. Jackson started his college career at Creighton University.
