Dodge City freshman departing early

Dodge City Community College struggled this past season at 11-19 under head coach Brady Trenkle. The Conqs suffered a big loss when one of their freshmen decided to leave early for the Division One ranks this coming fall. JucoJunction has the latest on which player will be playing in Conference USA next season.
Rodney Clinkscales, (FR) 6-foot-1 from Zion, IL, will be playing at SMU next season according to Conqs assistant coach Jeremy Johnston. Clinkscales, a shooting guard, averaged 19 ppg, 3.3 rebounds and 3 assists this past season. Rodney will have three years to play for the Mustangs. Clinkscales, an academic qualifier coming out of Zion-Benton High School, only took one official visit before deciding on SMU.
Clinscales was a 2nd team All-Conference player this past season in the Jawhawk Conference. Illinois State and Missouri State also showed interest in Rodney this past spring.
