Dowdy staying in California

Brandon Dowdy, (SO) 6-foot-4 (205) from Highland, CA, decided to stay close to home for next season. Dowdy is a transfer from the University of San Diego. Dowdy decided recently he wants to play at UC-Riverside next season according to Imperial Valley College Head coach Tyson Aye.

Dowdy averaged 13 ppg, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists this past season for the Arabs.

"Brandon had a great season for us, he was the MVP of the Pacific Coast Conference and was first-team all-state," said Aye. "He is a tremendous shooter and defender and above all else a tremendous young man. The Imperial Valley College family is proud of Brandon and his accomplishments and we look forward to following his success at UC Riverside."

The Arabs finished the season at (21-11) and won the Pacific Coast Conference with a (14-2) record.
