Duo stays together

A.J Matthews and Ryan Davis both have verbaled to Fairleigh Dickinson University next season in New Jersey. Matthews is a 7-footer and Davis is 5-foot-10. Both players will play this season at Broward College in Southern Florida.

Broward College Head Coach Bob Starkman confirmed these commitments to JucoJunction this evening. Matthews played last season at Monroe College in the Bronx, N.Y. where he averaged 14 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Matthews shot 52.4 percent (164-313) from the floor last season.
Davis sat out the 2009-2010 season after playing at Broward College in 2008-2009. Davis a point guard averaged 12.2 points and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 39.5 percent (51-129) from the 3-point range. Davis is a Flushing, N.Y. native
