Eagle to Golden Eagles

The Panhandle Conference is no stranger to producing D1 players every year. This season seems to be no exception as one player will fly from the Eagles Nest to Conference USA. "Rashard McGill (No.23 in team photo) is heading to the University of Southern Mississippi this coming season," said Tallahassee Community College Head coach Eddie Barnes.

McGill is a 6-foot-5 wing player from Havana, F.L. who signed with Coastal Carolina University out of high school but failed to qualified academically.
McGill headed off to Massanutten Military Academy before heading off to Iona College.
McGill averaged 9.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season for the Eagles and led the young squad to the national tourney in Hutchinson, K.S. McGill visited South Alabama and Southern Mississippi this spring before deciding on the Golden Eagles.
