Eagles looking to soar

Illinois Valley Community College Head Coach Tommy Canale just recently held a JUCO Jamboree and JucoJunction was on campus for the 10 team event. The Eagles will look for leadership this season from some sophomores and one older player.

Perry Adams is 27-years-old and a father of a young daughter. The Madison, Ill. native started his college career at Weatherford College (TX) back in 2004.
"Perry is in a lot better shape than I thought he would be when I first heard he was here at IVCC," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. "Perry can really draw a lot of contact and move quite well for his size. He really has a great drop step and soft hands."
Sam Ford transferred in from nearby Highland Community College in Freeport, Ill. The left-handed wing player is a freakish athlete who loves to attack the basket. Ford averaged 9.5 points per game last season for the Cougars and shot 57 percent from the floor.
Alec Schwab was held out of action here at IVCC today with an injury. The shooting guard played this past summer at Mullens Top 80 Showcase.
Schwab averaged 16.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last season for the Eagles. Schwab shot 42 percent
(77-185) from 3-point range. Schwab hails from nearby Peru, Ill.
