East Mississippi has two strong guards

Jarvis Hill and Keith James are both off to great starts this season for first year head coach Mark White and East Mississippi Community College Lions. The Lions are currently on a five game winning streak heading into tonight's contest with #10 ranked Itawamba Community College.
Hill, (SO) 6-foot-2 (198) from Starkville, MS, played his freshman season at Southern Mississippi University where he averaged 7.8 ppg for the Golden Eagles. Hill prepped at Mount Zion Christian (NC) and Bridgton Academy (ME) after leaving high school in Mississippi. Hill is currently averaging 15.6 ppg and shooting 43% from three point range this season.

"Jarvis is the premier perimeter defensive player in the entire conference, and likely one of the best juco perimeter defenders nationwide," said assistant coach Jeremy Shulman.
Louisiana-Monroe-offered and Murray State-offered have shown heavy interest in Hill from the fall. Tennessee-Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee State and Richmond have also shown interest in Jarvis this season.
James, (SO) 6-foot-2 (195), also hails from Starkville.
"Keith is a big, strong, physical point guard who plays with passion and a lot of energy. Keith leads our team in rebounding at 7.7 rebounds per game," said Shulman.
Alcorn State-offered and Nicholls State are recruiting the point guard.
