Eltings Visit a Mere Formality

Aking Elting, a 5-11, 165 pound point guard from the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Id., will take an official visit to DePaul this weekend.
CSI Asst. Coach Barret Peery told JUCO Junction that Elting will visit DePaul from Sept. 12-14.

This comes as little surprise, since Elting committed to DePaul last spring.
A native of Elizabethtown, N.C., Elting averaged 5.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the Golden Eagles in 2002-2003.
CSI had a very deep backcourt last winter, so Elting started just two of 32 games. With several sophomores now departed (including Jaison Williams to Oklahoma), Elting should significantly boost his minutes (16 mpg in 2002-2003) and productivity in 2003-2004.
A very fast floor general, Elting excels at breaking down a defense and creating for others. He should be one of the better floor generals in the JC Class of 2004.
JUCO Junction expects to catch Elting in action later this winter, and we will let you know how he plays at that time. Stay tuned!
