Falcon prospects ready to start visits

Head Coach Todd Franklin just finished his 10th year at Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, IL. The Falcons were led by four sophomores this past season. Coach Franklin updated JucoJunction this morning on what his players recruitment looks like and where they will be taking visits in the near future.
Desmond Stephens: (SO) 5-foot-9 (150) from Bloomington, IN. The jet quick guard is a transfer from Olney Central College (IL) where he averaged 12.1 ppg as a freshman.

"Desmond had a good year for us. I think he will be a excellent player at the next level for someone," said Franklin.
Stephens averaged 17.3 ppg, 4 rebounds and 3.8 assists this season for the 24-7 Falcons. Desmond shot a scorching 51.5% (83-161) from three-point range this season. The 1st Team All-Region selection will take a official visit this weekend to Utah State. Desmond will visit UT-San Antonio the weekend of April 13-15.
Jason Francis: (SO) 6-foot-9 (280) from Jamaica. The third year center will take a visit this weekend to Rhode Island. Jason visited Rutgers back in the fall period.
"Jason's best basketball is still in front of him. He moves really well for someone his size," said Franklin.
Francis averaged 6.7 ppg and 5.5 rebounds this past season. Jason redshirted at SE Illinois back in 2005-2006.
Olajide Hay: (SO) 6-foot-5 (240) from Henderson, KY. The power forward has a visit lined up for April 13-15 at Tennessee-Martin. Hay was the 6th man as a freshman at Southeastern Illinois. Olajide averaged 10.9 ppg and 7.3 rebounds this season while starting for the Falcons.
"Olajide has very long arms and moves well for his size. He has a wide body and can faceup from 15-17 feet in," said Franklin.
Hay was the 2nd leading scorer and top rebounder for the Falcons this season.
Josh Rivers: (SO) 6-foot-0 (170) from Las Vegas, NV. The undersized combo guard averaged 10.8 ppg this season.
"Josh has averaged double digits for us the last two seasons," said Franklin.
Rivers will take a visit with teammate Desmond Stephens to UT-San Antonio on the weekend of April 13-15.
