Falcons fight off Indians

The Daytona State College Falcons jumped out to a 37-18 lead at the 8:00 mark of the first half. The Chipola College Indians clawed back in and went on a 24-10 run to end the first half at 47-42.
The Indians took the lead on several different occasions in the second half.

The game was tied at the end of regulation at 84-84. Indians guard Patrick Rooks missed a shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
Tyquonne Greer played big all day long for the Falcons. The Chicago, IL native finished the day with 33 points and connected on 5-7 three pointers.
Brandon Maxwell and Oscar Cabrera both chipped in 17 points apiece for the Falcons. The Falcons move to 12-2 on the season.
The Indians were led in scoring by former Clemson transfer Patrick Rooks with 29 points. Eric Lockett added 14 points and Junior Saintel chipped in 11 points.
The Indians fall to 8-4 on the season and will play Miami Dade College in Day 2 at the Florida JUCO Shootout.
