Falcons leave program

Southeastern Illinois College Harrisburg, IL recently had their roster depleted. The Falcons lost several players and head coach Todd Franklin. Find out more about these players in this article on your source for junior college basketball recruiting news.

Charles Ashford and Jordan Hickman will both transfer over to Vincennes University next season with Franklin who just recently took over the Blazers job. Ashford, a 6-foot-1-inch point guard, and Hickman, a 6-foot-2-inch shooting guard, saw plenty of minutes last season for the Falcons. Matt Smithpeters will head off to John A Logan College while William Kirksey will play at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL.

Ashford averaged 8.2 points and three assists per game last season while Hickman, a lefthanded spot-up shooter, averaged three points per game. Kirksey, a power forward from nearby St Louis, will be closer at home for the Blue Storm this coming season. Kirksey averaged 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting 51 percent (152-296) from the floor last season.
