Fashion Institute turning out prospects

Head Coach Lance Tejada has made great strides in his first few years at Fashion Institute in New York City. JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with Coach Tejada on a few of his players.
Lawrence Palmer: (SO) 6-foot-3 (180) from Bronx, NY. Palmer is 25 years old and sitting out this season.

Lawrence averaged 19.2 ppg and 9 rebounds last season. The 2/3 man is a strong slasher that can really attack the rim. Palmer played high school ball with NYC street legend Adrian Walton at Bronx Regional.
Michael Campbell: (FR) 6-foot-5 (210) from New York City. Campbell was seen by JucoJunction this summer in Indianapolis at the JC Challenge.
"Mike Campbell reminds me of Charles Barkley," says staff member Bret Swanson ."Mike draws contact and finishes everything in the paint."
"Mike is in his first year of organized ball," added coach Lance Tejada .
Campbell on the season is averaging 24 points and 13.3 rebounds. Mike is 5th in the
country in scoring and 2nd in rebounding for D3 Junior Colleges.
Jonathan Lopez: (SO) 6-foot-4 (195) is a swingman.
"Lopez can play 3 positions and is a great defender," said Tejada
Equiano Stewart: (SO) 5-foot-9 (165) from Bronx, NY.
Stewart is a point guard that can really fill up the stat sheet by averaging 11.9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Stewart is a two-year starter that averaged 12.9 points and 4.7 steals as a freshman.
