Fifth Brunswick player signs letter

Brunswick Community College in Supply, NC will have a whole new look next season under head coach Walter Shaw. The Dolphins now have five players moving on to Division One basketball for next year after one player took a visit to a Colonial Athletic Association School and walked away with a scholarship offer this past weekend. Mi'kyel Nero, (FR) 6-foot-4 (205) from Richmond, VA, will play at Georgia State University next fall according to coach Shaw. Nero will have three years to play for the Panthers and will join fellow Dolphins teammate Jamar Taylor at the Atlanta,GA school. Nero prepped at Huegenot High School in Richmond. Mi'kyel visited Towson and Georgia State before deciding on the Panthers after this past weekends visit to the campus. Nero averaged 10.8 ppg, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 56.1% (132-235) from the floor this season.
Nero now joins four other teammates to sign for next fall. Jeremy Basnight (UNC-Wilmington), Issac Nixon (Norfolk State), Jamar Taylor (Georgia State) and Andrew Jackson (Winston Salem State) all have have signed scholarships along Lamonte Theus who is division 2 bound to Mount Olive College in Mount Olive, NC.
