Floor general leading the way
Marshalltown Community College has to play the likes of Indian Hills, Iowa Western Community College, Northeast Community College and Southeastern Community College every season. The Tigers are looking to make a run this season in the Iowa Region.
Mike Rodriguez is the Tigers leader on the floor. Rodriguez a point guard returned for his sophomore season after averaging 16.5 ppg last season.

Rodriguez is currently averaging 24.8 ppg, 4.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists this season for the Tigers. Rodriguez has connected on 47% (81-172) from the floor and already has been to the foul line 97 times this season.
Rodriguez played at Redemption Christian Academy (NY/MA) for a few seasons. The school moved campuses during his senior year to Northfield, MA from Troy, NY. Rodriguez is a Boston, MA native.
