Focus on 2009: Olney Central

The Olney Central College Blue Knights are looking to make some head way this season under head coach Mike Burris. Burris will be starting his fourth year at the helm of the Blue Knights this coming fall. The Blue Knights will have seven sophomores on this year's roster and plenty of minutes played at the college level compared to teams in the past. JucoJunction takes a look at the Blue Knights.
The Blue Knights will look for Ahmad Grant, a (SO) 6-foot-3 (175) guard from Peoria, IL, to lead the way. Grant is set to play in Jerry Mullens 120 JUCO Camp in Tulsa, OK this coming weekend. Grant averaged 19.4 ppg as a freshman for the Blue Knights. Grant has a mentor in former Indiana University player AJ Guyton. Grant has received early interest from all over the board.

Joe Wright, (SO) 6-foot-7 (230), is from Marion, SC. Wright has made great strides since getting to OCC last fall.
"Joe is a great kid with a tremendous work ethic. Joe's best basketball is still in front of him," said Burris.

Rehmel made all conference for Blue Knights as a freshman.
"Jared is tough kid. He is a absolute gym rat and really competes on every possession," said Burris.
Cameron Hall, (SO) 6-foot-3 (205) from Atoka, TN, averaged 8.2 ppg, 3.1 rebounds and 3 assists last season from the guard position.
"Cameron is a slasher and is really shown good progress in improving his perimeter game," said Burris.

Ryan Laswell is (SO) 6-foot-3 (205) from Madison, IN.
"Laswell is a very fundamentally sound player. Ryan does what you need him to do," said Burris.
