Albany Technical college is just playing in its second year of basketball this coming season. The Titans were (13-13) in there first season. The Titans return many players from last seasons squad and JucoJunction had a chance to see the Titans this past weekend in the Tallahassee Jamboree.
The Titans are a very athletic team that play hard from start to finish. The Titans have 12 sophomores on the roster this year. Leading the way for the Titans is Octavious Pierce, (SO) 6-foot-5 (200) from Dawson,GA. Pierce averaged 14 ppg and 12 rebounds last season. Pierce, a small forward, is 23 years old and only played in 5 games last year before getting hurt. Pierce is seeking a redshirt year in the process. Octavious can go inside-out and can really get to the foul line at ease. Octavious brings a lot of energy to the floor for the Titans.
