Former D1 guard decides

JucoJunction touched base with good friend John Pigatti the head coach of South Suburban College in South Holland, I.L. today. Coach Pigatti informed JucoJunction that guard James Harris has signed with Missouri Western State College for this coming fall.

Harris will suit up for the Griffons and head coach Tom Smith at the St Joesph, M.O. NCAA D2 school. Harris a transfer from Austin Peay University hails from Kalamazoo, M.I.
Harris led the Bulldogs back to the NJCAA National D2 Tourney in Danville, I.L. this past March. Harris averaged 17.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game for the Bulldogs this past season. Harris shot 37 percent (71-190) from three point range.
Teammate Sultan Muhammad is an academic qualifier who can leave with three years to play at the next level. Muhammad averaged 14.4 points and 5 rebounds per game this season from the 2 guard spot. Muhammad hails from Grand Rapids, M.I.
