Former teammates to D1

Two former prep school teammates have decided to on Division one schools for next fall. JucoJunction has the latest on these two players in this article. Stay tune to JucoJunction all spring long for recruiting basketball news from around the junior college ranks.
Bernard Webb didn't play a game this past season at Barton County Community College in Great Bend,KS. Webb 6-foot-9 (238 lb) forward from Bridgeport, CT will suit up for Robert Morris University next season according to Cougars Head Coach Craig Fletchall. Webb redshirted this season for the Cougars and will now have three years to play at the division one level.

Webb prepped at Genesis One Christian School in Mendenhall, MS before heading off to junior college a few years back. Webb averaged 2 ppg and 2.2 rebounds back in 2008-2009 for the Cougars.
Bernard Kamwa played his freshman season at Cowley College in Arkansas City, KS before transferring out west this past season. Kamwa played this past season at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, CA for Giants Head Coach Rusty Smith.
Kamwa and Webb were teammates at Genesis One Christian School before heading off to junior college. Kamwa averaged 2.9 ppg, 3.2 rebounds and 4.1 blocks this past season for the 23-7 Giants. Kamwa only attempted 68 shots from the floor in 30 games this season.
"I really liked UMKC when I visited the campus and they have a good business program" said Kamwa.
