Eric Fowlkes, an explosive 6-4 sophomore swingman from Colby C.C. in Colby, Kan., has been looked at recently by a pair of Atlantic 10 programs.
Fowlkes, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., has drawn recent interest from LaSalle and Dayton, according to Colby Head Coach Brian Ostermann. Both staffs may be making trips to Colby this month to follow up with Fowlkes.
First up for Fowlkes will likely be an official visit to Evansville. The Purple Aces have kept tabs on Fowlkes all year long.
As a sophomore, Fowlkes averaged 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest. He started 31 of 33 games, helping the Trojans reach the Region VI semis last month.
Fowlkes shot 51 percent from the floor, 41 percent from beyond the three point arc and 70 percent from the charity stripe.
Of course, with many coaching changes occuring on the Division I landscape, it's possible that more schools will try to hop in with Fowlkes in the weeks to come.
We'll keep you posted on his recruitment, so stay tuned to JUCO Junction.
