Frank Phillips guard finds a school

Frank Phillips College in Borger, TX is coached by Chad Kline. The Plainsmen play in a very tough region with the likes of Midland College, South Plains, Odessa, Howard, New Mexico Junior College and Western Texas College. Coach Kline notified JucoJunction today that one of his players will be signing today a National Letter of Intent to attend a four year school next fall. Broderick Gilchrist, a (SO) 5-foot-11 (165) point guard from Memphis, will play for the Idaho State University Bengals for next season according to coach Kline. Gilchrist started his college career at Middle Tennessee State and played this past summer at Jerry Mullen's JUCO 120 Camp in Tulsa, OK at Oral Roberts University. Gilchrist received interest from Missouri State and Idaho State. He took a visit to the Pocatello, ID campus this past weekend and walked away liking what he saw from head coach Joe O Brien's program.
Gilchrist averaged 12.8 ppg, 5.8 assists and 2 steals this season while shooting 41% (57-139) from three-point range for the Plainsmen this season. The Plainsmen finished the year at 16-14 this past season. Gilchrist now joins Rashaun McLemore who led the Plainsmen in scoring with 17.6 ppg in signing Division One scholarships this spring. McLemore is bound for California State Northridge next season.
