A pair of Iowa State basketball coaches are making their second visit in two weeks to a California junior college in hopes of securing an official visit from a 2014 prospect.
Head coach Fred Hoiberg and assistant coach Doc Sadler are scheduled to be on campus at Mount San Jacinto College on Thursday, according to MSJC head coach Patrick Springer. ISU coaches were on campus last week as well and the object of their attention is athletic wing prospect Dewayne Benjamin.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound Benjamin is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and he's being recruited by home state LSU. But the interest in Benjamin is anything but provincial as high major programs from all over the country are working to secure one of his official visits.
"He's wide open right now but he's going to make his decisions on where to officially visit by the end of this week," said Coach Springer, a Des Moines native who attended the Univ. of Iowa. "Iowa State was out here last week and Fred and Doc are going to be here again tomorrow."
According to Springer, one official visit is already locked in for Benjamin - he'll go to Oregon next weekend, Sept. 27-29.
Other schools that have invited Benjamin to take an official visit include Cincinnati, Wichita State, Washington State, Hawaii, Western Kentucky and Florida State in addition to the three already mentioned: Iowa State, Oregon and LSU.
Coach Springer said Benjamin projects as a shooting guard or small forward at the next level. He said most schools like him as a two guard.
Benjamin averaged nearly 16 points and over 7 rebounds per game last season as a freshman at Mount San Jacinto. He shot almost 47 percent from the field overall and 29 percent from three-point range. In addition, he was a 73 percent free throw shooter.
