Fresh start

Combo forward Chris Hawkins has taken his game from Motlow State College to Southwest Tennessee State with current head coach Jerry Nichols. Hawkins, a third year player, remains with Nichols now for his third straight year in junior college.
"Chris is a ideal player in the junior college ranks where he can play both forward positions. The ultimate mismatch performer with the ability to stretch the defense out or finish inside the paint" said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.

Hawkins averaged 12.9 ppg and 6.8 rebounds in helping the Bucks get to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS. JucoJunction saw Hawkins this past weekend at the Mullen's Top 100 Camp in St Louis, MO.
Southern Mississippi, Memphis, Morehead State and Southeast Missouri State have all expressed interest in Hawkins after the camp according to Nichols.
