From MAC to the MAC

Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO has produced Division One players over the years. This season looks to be no exception. The Cardinals recently had a player commit to a Mid-American Conference School. JucoJunction has the latest on which player from Mineral Area College will be heading to the MAC in this article.
Carlton Guyton, a Chicago native, will take his game to Kent State University next season. Guyton, a (SO) 6-foot-4 wing player, averaged 5.5 ppg, 3.3 rebounds and 2 assists last season for the Cardinals. Guyton prepped at Rich South High School in the Chicago area.

"Carlton is a very versatile type guard who can play multiple positions on the floor," said JucoJunction staff
analyst Bret Swanson.
Mineral Area College is led by former University of Missouri player Corey Tate. Kent State assistant coach Armon Gates, also a Chicago native, played a key role in the recruitment of Guyton.
