Garcia lands in the PAC-10
Charles Garcia wanted to end his recruitment early and the multi talented post player from Riverside Community College in Riverside, CA decided to do just that. Garcia, (FR) 6-foot-9 (220) forward, pledged to the University of Washington Huskies.
Garcia, a Los Angeles native, started school off at Sacramento State a few seasons back but never played for the Hornets. Charles played this past season for Riverside Community College head coach John Smith. Garcia averaged 16 ppg and 8 rebounds this season for (25-8) Riverside Community College.
Charles visited the University of Washington this past weekend. Nebraska, San Diego State and Tennessee all expressed interest in Garcia this spring. Garcia is expected to play next month in Tulsa, OK at Jerry Mullens JUCO 120 Camp at Oral Roberts University.
