Garden City prospect to be an Indian

Yima Chia-Kur from Garden City Community College has signed on with Arkansas State University for next season according to Head Coach Kris Baumann.

"Yima signed with Arkansas State right after his visit this past weekend," the coach said.

Yima played his freshman season at Lamar Community College in Colorado and sat out the 2005-2006 season at Garden City CC. Chia-Kur averaged 18.5 ppg and 5.7 rebounds this season for the Broncbusters. The 1st team all-conference performer from Mansfield, OH also received interest from Murray State, Middle Tennessee State and Youngstown State. Yima only visited the Arkansas State campus.

"Yima will be a great fit for Coach Nutt and should have good success in the Sun Belt Conference next season," said Baumann.

The third year player played the 3/4 positions this season at Garden city.
