Gauchos player decides

One player from the west coast decided after taking an official visit this past weekend he had found the school of his choice for next season. Wendell Faines will take his game to the University of Idaho to play for the Vandals next season. The 6-foot-9-inch post player fom Lincoln, N.E. has been at Saddleback College in Southern California the past two seasons.

Faines started his college career at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas where he redshirted for the Ravens in 2008-2009. Faines played a year of prep school basketball at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, V.A. before heading off to junior college.
Faines averaged 7.4 points and 5 rebounds per game last season for the Gauchos. He shot 51.7 percent (106-205) from the floor and recorded 1.7 block shots per game last season.
The Gauchos won the State Championship last season under now third year head coach Andy Ground. Watch and see if the Gauchos can repeat as champions next this season.
