Generals making noise

Region 9 basketball in Wyoming has some surprising teams from year to year. JucoJunction visited the region tourney last season at Sheridan College and walked away quite impressed with the talent.

The Sheridan College Generals are currently 16-4 under head coach Steve Smiley.
Sophomores Jarrell Crayton, Omar McDade and Kendrick Morse are leading the charge for the Generals into the second part of the conference schedule.
Crayton is a power forward who is currently averaging 14.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season while shooting 63 percent (129-205) from the floor.
The Bellevue, N.E. native is receiving interest from Boise State, Portland State - offered, South Dakota State - offered,Oral Roberts - offered, Ohio University, Montana State, Bradley, High Point, Albany and Fresno State according to coach Smiley.
McDade is a Logan, U.T. resident who is currently averaging 15 points and 5.3 rebounds an outing for the Generals.
McDade is the Generals leading scorer and is getting looks at from Utah State, UC-Riverside, Utah Valley, Albany, SIU-Edwardsville and Tulane according to Smiley. McDade is a combo guard for the Generals.
Morse is a waterbug point guard at 5-foot-7 and hails from Richton Park, I.L. Morse is currently averaging 9.5 points and 4.2 assists per game this season for the Generals.
He is receiving interest from Chicago State, SIU-Edwardsville, Central Michigan and Utah Valley according to coach Smiley.
Matt Glover is a promising freshman on the Generals squad along with 6-foot-8 power forward Lamont Prosser.
Glover is a combo guard from Orange, C.A. who is still trying to figure his paperwork from the NCAA Clerainghouse to see if he's a academic qualifier.
Glover is currently averaging 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season while shooting 35.6 percent (31-87) from three point range.
Glover has received interest from Long Beach State, Idaho, University of San Diego, Montana State, Butler University, Colorado, UNLV, Clemson, Boston College and Bradley University according to Smiley.
Prosser hails from Fort Wayne, I.N. and prepped at Charis Prep in Wilson, N.C. last season. Prosser is currently averaging 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game this season while shooting 54.4 percent (97-178) from the floor.
