Georgia Southern nets two commits

Tyrone Curnell, (SO) 6-foot-8 (220) from Ocoee, FL, has ended his recruitment early. The combo forward from Seminole Community College in Sanford, FL will be headed off to Georgia Southern University next season.

Curnell played last season at Jacksonville University where he averaged 9.2 ppg and 4.4 rebounds in 27 games played. "

"Tyrone is a combo forward who can slash to the basket" said Bret Swanson.

Antonio Hanson, (SO) 6-foot-2 (180) from Independence Community College in Kansas will also be heading to Statesboro, GA next season to play for Georgia Southern. Hanson is a third year player from Liberal, KS. Antonio redshirted last year at Independence CC after to playing at the University of Tulsa back in 2005-2006.
