"Darius Paul will sign today with the University of Illinois" said Lamar State-Port Arthur Head Coach Lance Madison.
Paul, a third year player, started his college career at Western Michigan University before transferring to Illinois. Paul will return to the Big 10 Conference next season.

Paul never played for the Fighting Illini before transferring to the Seahawks.
Paul is currently averaging 14 ppg, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks for the Seahawks this season. The Seahawks are currently 2-1 on the young season.
Paul played his freshman season at Western Michigan back in 2012-2013. Paul averaged 10.4 ppg and 5.7 rebounds. He started 33 games that season.
