Playing last season in the NJCAA National Championship was a great accomplishment for one player in the Lone Star State. South Plains College finished 36-0 last season and won the NJCAA D1 National Championships in Hutchinson, Kan. Texans assistant coach Hank Plona informed JucoJunction today that Anthony Walker has committed to play at the University of Texas-Arlington next season.

"Anthony is very comfortable with Coach Cross and the coaches at UTA, they've been recruiting him since his junior year in high school. UTA continued to show Anthony how important he will be to their program moving forward," said Plona.
The power forward from San Antonio, Tex. averaged 3.8 points and 2 rebounds per game last season for the Texans.
