Gonzales Will Unofficially Visit Big 12 School

Quentin Gonzales, the 6-foot-7, 245-pound small forward/power forward from Iowa Western Community College is currently receiving interest from a large number of mid-to-high major college basketball institutions. The Texas native will likely take an unofficial visit to a Big 12 school in the near future, but does not plan to make a decision about his future until the spring.
“Quentin is very skilled and has the ability to score in all kinds of ways,” Iowa Western Community College assistant coach James Bankhead said. Quentin can shoot the three, post up, score in the high-low or score from the high post.”

While as many as eight schools have expressed an interest in Gonzales, it is not likely that the Texas native will make any decisions before the spring. Nothing official has been scheduled yet, but it appears that Gonzales will take an unofficial visit to Nebraska in the near future.
“Nebraska, Houston, Iowa State, Purdue, Southern Miss, Cal State Fullerton, SE Missouri State and Western Illinois are some of the schools that are interested in Quentin,” Coach Bankhead said. “I believe that he will take an unofficial visit to Nebraska sometime in the future, but I don’t know when the visit will actually take place.
“I really don’t see Quentin making a decision before the spring,” he added. “He will probably take a few visits after our season is complete and then make a decision after that.”
