Graham goes in-depth about commitment

On Thursday, Rivals.com broke the news that Lon Morris guard Bryson Graham had committed to Texas A&M. Later on Thursday night, JucoJunction chased down Graham to find out exactly why he'd made the move.
"First, I liked Coach Gillispie, liked how fun he was. He didn't promise me nothing. He told me to come down and work," said the 6-foot-3 Graham. "I like how he treats his players, like the situation there how they're up and coming."

In addition, the chance for instant playing time appealed to Graham, who has three years of eligibility remaining.
"With Chris Walker leaving Coach Gillispie talked to me a three guard set and I can play anywhere on the perimieter, one, two or three," Graham said. "The opportunity for minutes is there with Chris Walker leaving and I'll get to play alongside good players like Acie Law and Joseph Jones."
Graham also liked that his family will still be able to see him play. He was a San Antonio native before traveling to Lon Morris to play under Dale Dotson. Graham credited Dotson for putting him in position to be a Division One player.
"Coach Dotson, Rick and Dale, helped me become the player I am right now," Graham said. "Before, I was the type of player that always wanted ball in my hands. Playing under the Dotsons helped me know how to play without the ball, make plays without the ball. They helped me become a true combo guard, my defense became a lot better, I got a lot smarter. It was a good team, great guys, I had a lot of fun here and I wish the best to Coach Dotson."
At LMC, Graham played alongside Hernol Hall, one of the top juco players in the land who has signed with Duquesne. We asked Graham what his teammate might be thinking now that Danny Nee was out as Duquesne's coach.
"I know from talking to him that Duquesne, they haven't hired anybody right now, so I think he's really waiting to get his release once the new coach gets there and go from there," Graham said. "I really haven't talked to him too much. But I don't think he wants to go to Duquesne if the opportunity comes to be released."
JucoJunction will try to reach Hall as soon as possible to see where things stand.
