Joshua Upchurch has signed with Grambling University for next season. Upchurch played his freshman season at Baton Rouge Community College in Louisiana after transferring from Lee College in Baytown,TX. Upchurch averaged 12.2 ppg this past season for the Bears.

Louis Ellis will head to the Southland Conference to play at Northwestern State University for next season. Ellis 6-foot-2 (185 lb) off guard from Shreveport, LA had a great year for Panola College in Carthage, TX. The Ponies were 14-16 this season under then head coach Jacob Wonders. Wonders recently took a assistant coaching position at conference rival San Jacinto College.

Ellis averaged 11.2 ppg and 3.7 rebounds this past season while shooting 37% (35-94) from three point range. Teammate Dante Wooten who redshirted for the Ponies this past season will play at South Carolina state University next season. Wooten 6-foot-8 hails from Philadelphia, PA and will have three years to play for the Bulldogs.

Ivan Johnson has signed with Alabama State University according to Ranger College Head Coach Rodney McConnell for next season. Johnson, 6-foot-5 from Desoto, TX is a third year player who attended Northwest Shoals Community College in Alabama before landing at Ranger College. Johnson will have two years to play for Alabama State University.
