Happy in Lufkin

Angelina College Head Coach Todd Neighbors had to be pleased with his team's performance Friday night at the Mullen-Mitchell Dallas JUCO Blowout. The Roadrunners are based out of Lufkin, Tex. and play in East Texas - Region 14.
Jaylen Daniel and LaDerrien Jackson both returned to the Roadrunners squad this season after playing a hefty amount of minutes last year as a freshman. Daniel, a wing player hails from Winchester, Ken. while Jackson, a shooting guard, hails from Gibsland, La.
Daniel averaged 11.3 points per game last season and shot 35 percent (42-121) from 3-point range.
Jackson a left-handed shooting guard recently visited McNeese State University and walked away with a scholarship offer according to Neighbors. Jackson averaged 10.7 points last season and shot 40 percent (52-129) from 3-point range.
Donald Thomas II is a freshman on this season's roster. The New Orleans, La. native spent the summer at UW-Milwaukee and passed six hours according to Neighbors. Thomas II signed with the Panthers last year and was part of their recruiting class. Thomas II is a combo forward, more of 4/3 type.
