Harcum trio still looking around

Harcum College is starting its thirrd year of basketball at the small school in Philadelphia, PA. The Bears finished the season last year at 30-3 under head coach Drew Kelly. The Bears are 51-13 in two seasons of NJCAA basketball. JucoJunction caught up with Coach Kelly about some of his sophomores he has this coming season.
Jamal Jackson: (SO) 6-foot-0 (180) from Harrisburg, PA. Jackson averaged 15 ppg and 5.2 assists last season for the Bears.

"Jamal is a pure point guard with outstanding all-around skills. He controls the game on both ends of the floor. Jamal had a 4 to 1 assist to turnover ratio last season," said Kelly.
Longwood (VA)-offered, Morehead State-offered and Monmouth have shown interest in the point guard. Jackson will visit Longwood on September 21-23.
Brandon Smalls: (SO) 6-foot-4 (200) from Charleston, SC. Smalls started his college career at Navarro JC (TX) back in the fall of 2005. Brandon enrolled at Harcum
College last January 2007 as a student.
"Brandon is poised to have a breakout season for us. Since he sat out last season, not many schools know he is here," said Kelly.
St Peter's (NJ), Long Island, Morehead State and Longwood have all shown early interest in the two guard.
"Brandon is a exceptional talent with deep range on his shot," said Kelly.
Charles Okwandu: (FR) 7-foot-1 (235) from Nigeria. Okwandu arrived in the USA last February at the College of Southern Idaho. Okwandu did not play for the Eagles.
"We are very excited to have Charles in our program. His best basketball is still in front of him. He will need two years to play before he is ready to move on to the next level," said Kelly.
Okwandu has not committed to Seton Hall as other websites have reported in the
past.
