South Georgia State used to be called Waycross College. The new form Hawks our currently 16-1 after defeating Georgia Perimeter College 71-52.

The Hawks look for leadership on the floor by the backcourt duo of Jovante Spivey and
Spivey led the charge versus the Jaguars with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists.
The Hawks only setback was in mid-November versus Tallahassee Community College.
Peace, a Decatur, GA native scored 15 points and dished out 7 assists in the victory. Peace made 8 steals in the game.
