Hawks still flying high

The Howard College Hawks are coached by longtime head coach Mark Adams. The Hawks this season are currently 20-7. The Hawks have plenty of sophomores on the roster who are receiving recruiting interest.

Shavon Coleman is currently averaging 14.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Coleman who is ranked No. 8 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150 this season, is currently hearing from LSU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Southern Mississippi and Utah State according to Hawks assistant coach Jase Coburn.
"Shavon is a long wing player that is great defender," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Coleman hails from Thibodeaux, La.
Calvin Godfrey started his college career in the Big 12 Conference at Iowa State University. "Calvin really likes to go to work in the paint. He plays very physical and really can finish around the basket with both hands very well," said Swanson.
Godfrey is currently averaging 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this season. Godfrey is shooting 62 percent (124-200) from the floor for the Hawks.
Wichita State, Houston, Southern Mississippi and Boise State have been keeping tabs on Godfrey this spring according to Coburn. JucoJunction will follow up with the rest of the Hawks in the near future.
